That seems to be the word of the year, been looking on booking.com and looking at self catering cottages for later in the year.
We booked a Sykes cottage in Wales last year and couldn't go obviously, but trying to get money back from then is just impossible
Sykes cottages say to contact the owner and the owner says to contact Sykes
all that has been offered so far is £406, apparently this is an amount less deposit ( sykes are keeping £255 of our money) except we didn't pay a deposit, it was paid in full on a credit card, so maybe it's now time to contact the credit card company and remind them about section 75.
the self catering apartment has been booked out on the dates were chose and at a higher price than we paid so the owner hasn't lost out...she has got our money and from other people for this year (£745) , so has been paid twice, theft and fraud in my book but what's the point...
