There is an App called ' Too Good To Go', you can register and you can rescue unsold food from local shops and restaurants to save it from going to waste, prices are from £3.09, they are called Magic Bags.

This is what me and hubby had for tea today, collected from our local Spar shop around 7pm, there are quite a shops and restaurants involved now...
these were microwave veg pots, a bit spicy but nice to eat something a bit different to what we normally choose...
...and here are other bags of food we've had in the past, it's like a lucky dip of food
this app has been useful while hubby has been off work on sick pay and then tax and national insurance are taken off, the first week he was off, we had just £45 paid but bills still need to be paid don't they...
oh and in case you are wondering if I am taking food away from those who need it, like food banks, no I'm not, you can read why below...
Q) Why isn't the surplus food sold on Too Good To Go donated to those in need?
