2025 - 5th December - todays stuff - roofer No 5

Well just had Roofer No 5 round exactly on time and he seems genuine, no deposit and the leaking join between ours and neighbours house will cost just £40 not stupid rip off scam amount like replacing just one piece of the guttering for £1.5k...

It looks like the leak and the chimney might not be as bad as first thought, he was a roofer who understood what I was talking about so thats something, coming back next week, going up ladders and taking photos and then discussing what needs doing.

He looked inside the chimney and there are water marks down the inside of the chimney...

and he says the roofing felt looks good so thats not bad as the roof was last done in 2017.

He thinks it could be the lead flashing so will know more next week...

yesterday hubby had an hospital appointment, it didn't go as expected at all, the result is back onto the waiting list at the end of the queue, having wasted the last 18 months, thought other day, it was to discuss finally having an hip operation, gutted...so start all over again...more x-rays, more appointments

and the christmas tree or decorations are not up, just not in the mood at all this year...
