I've always preferred making handmade items by upcycling fabrics, it means you can make something totally unique, rather than using the latest fashion fabrics which everyone else is using, no doubt there will be items made that are very similar to others also making handmade items.

Bottom left - the padded coathanger set, this would make a lovely gift for christmas or a birthday. This was made using remnants left from shortening some curtains, the fabric is sanderson linen.
Top left - The bag is made from a lovely wool check fabric and the lining is a bright and cheerful cotton print (previously curtains)
Bottom right - a shoulder bag, again using bright cotton fabric from the front flap and the rest of the bag, a jacket has been recycled.
