Already at the end of week 1 of lockdown, it was Mother's Day just last weekend, it seems a long time ago now....
Not made anything new for a while, just can't seem to get motivated anymore and no sales anyway.
We are lucky, hubby is a bus driver, classed as a key worker, still at work for now...so still money coming in, we are all in the same boat...
...at least we can go out daily for a walk or shopping, if you have managed to get a delivery slot, then Tesco are limiting items to 80 per customer.
Still it means you have to be creative with food you can get...
at the weekend, meals for the two of us are
*pork chops -
saturday, chinese stir fry
sunday dinner
monday casserole
or either a chicken
saturday - chicken korma
sunday dinner
monday casserole
tuesday/wednesday is mince
*lasagne or spaghetti bolognese
*shepherds pie
*cornish pasties
and with whatever vegetables are available that week...
my cooking isn't gourmet standard but that doesn't matter, it is food, the delivery I had the other day, there were quite a few substitutions but I don't complain, just grateful I have a delivery and food in the house, the drivers are doing a great job at the moment, they don't need grief from customers as well!

today is hubby's day off and still just the constant thud thud of a ball being bounced inside the house, this has been daily / hourly for the last 6 days from 9am each day, apparently it will continue as there nothing to do or nowhere to go?
We are lucky enough to have the trans-pennine trail going through our small town, we have some lovely countryside on our doorstep...a car is not needed...
Looking on facebook, there are lots of ideas just look for #lockdownideas
the blue bin collection (cardboard) in our area has been suspended at the moment, so my suggestion on a local community page, if you had a garden and bored kids, was to cut out large X and O and play noughts and crosses outside in the garden, it's not difficult to be creative is it?
Some families don't even have a garden, if you live in a terrace, all you may have is just a back yard, when I went for a walk the other day, there lots of children playing in the back yard in the sunshine...
We are all in this together, however long it may last...
