A lovely short break away, we usually stay at the North shore end of Blackpool away from the busy town centre, staying in a favourite hotel this year, a lovely sea view from the window, which is just five minutes walk for a sea view and tram stop at the end of the street, a pub restaurant also five minutes walk away for meals. Just went for a relaxing weekend away.
The illuminations were turned on this weekend but it was a ticketed event which was free but we prefer viewing from a distance.
Not long after we arrived, just dumped the cases in the hotel, a quick freshen up then to a restaurant for something to eat, a lovely sunset but it was very windy! This was the view from the hotel window.
Next morning had a short walk before breakfast, it was still very windy but warm and not raining so that was something...
As rain was forecast, we decided to spend the afternoon in the tower, which is now free to go in but there was a bag check! The cafe was closed when we got there, so luckily I had a bag of peanuts and a bottle of water with me. So we sat just looking out over the sea time till it was time for the circus as we arrived early. It was either that or a country and western show, not something we are bothered about.

Plenty of gift shops, selling the usual stuff and of course fudge for hubby! It was nice to get away for the weekend.
