So last night got to bed around 1.30am and up about 6.30ish, fed the cats and went back to bed, then up around 9am
ordered a large sunday dinner from a local cafe - £13 and fed both of us
still got this humming noise two months later and none the bloody wiser what it is

Turn off your stop tap and your boiler. If you still hear the sound you can eliminate your pipework and appliances as causes.
tried this and can still hear the noise so what next...
...slowly still decluttering, sorted out some stuff to sell on FB market place, probably won't get much, prices seems to be about £10-£20 but better then nothing, CD's and DVD's next
made a start on floppy disks in a drawer, some stuff dated 2002 so contents deleted and then disks broken up and thrown away...just back ups of a website I created, long gone, just memories now...
...an idea that my late Mum had when you have got too many birthday /christmas cards, cut out and keep the writing and use as the reverse side of the front part of the cards, that way you still have the memory to create bookmarks which can be laminated and make a useful item and which won't take up as much space and use in favourite books
...clothes just hung in a wardrobe which won't be worn again so time to let go and move on...might get rid of the large wardrobe taking up space in the bedroom and get a smaller one and a bookcase with shelves and keep personal items on display.
I already have one set of pine bedside drawers, might get another matching one and use as 'legs' on a dressing table which is years old but many house moves later, the legs are just not as sturdy anymore and get the added bonus of stuff in drawers to find easily...
